Atlanta, GA, June 29, 2020 – After serving 46 ½ years as a Life and Employee Benefits Principal at Pritchard & Jerden, Bob Shulman, CLU is set to retire on July 31st.
Shulman joined Pritchard & Jerden on January 14, 1974, after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Mathematics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. When Shulman joined the agency, Pritchard & Jerden had only 14 employees – four in life and employee benefits, eight in property and casualty, one in accounting and one in reception.
Throughout his accomplished career in insurance, Shulman has been awarded the National Sales Achievement Award, the National Quality Award and the National Health Insurance Quality Award for his exceptional business sales performance in Life and Health. In the early 1970s, Shulman also qualified for a membership to Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a global society that connects over 72,000 insurance and financial service professionals, and became a MDRT life member after 10 qualifying years.
Furthermore, in 1971 Shulman became a member of the Atlanta Life Underwriters. He later joined the American Society of CLU in 1975 after receiving his Charted Life Underwriter (CLU) designation earlier that year.
Pritchard & Jerden’s President, Jim Bailey, stated, “Working for the same company for 46 ½ years is an amazing and rare achievement. Bob has been an integral part of the growth of the Employee Benefits department and P&J. A lot has changed in 46 years – through all of it, Bob was always able to navigate the ever-evolving healthcare and benefits business for P&J and our clients. Bob has been a great mentor to many employees in our Employee Benefits department. We will miss him and wish him and Jeanne all the best in retirement.”
