IICF to Host Annual Benefit Event in Atlanta in Supporting Local Nonprofits

Atlanta, GA (August 13, 2018) – The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), a nonprofit organization that unites the insurance industry in helping communities and enriching lives through grants, volunteer service and leadership, will convene the Georgia insurance community on September 20 for its annual IICF Georgia Chapter Benefit Event at Skyline Park in Atlanta. Last year more than 300 insurance professionals, business and community leaders attended this highly anticipated charitable industry event, which includes carnival games and prizes, mini-golf, poker station, three-story slide races, networking and more – raising $120,000 for nonprofit and charitable organizations in the Greater Atlanta region.

“As the philanthropic foundation of the insurance industry, IICF provides insurance professionals in Georgia the opportunity to serve those in need in very meaningful ways, while working collaboratively with colleagues and uniting as an industry.” said Jim Bailey, President, Pritchard & Jerden, and Chair of the IICF Georgia Chapter Board of Directors. “The Georgia insurance community has answered the call with its unwavering commitment to the communities we serve, raising more than $450,000 in the past three years for local nonprofits and contributing extensive volunteer service with many of these same organizations.”

All proceeds from the event will fund the IICF Georgia Community Grants Program, which provides grants to charities in Georgia that focus on children, education and homelessness. “The 2018 Georgia Chapter Skyline Park Benefit is certain to be another crowd-pleasing event as insurance colleagues from around the region gather for a unique evening of fun, networking and most important, joining together to raise funds in support of the vital work of nonprofits in our communities, said Sarah Conway, Executive Director, IICF Southeast Division. “IICF Community Grants are awarded to local nonprofits so funds directly benefit the communities where they’re raised, to maximize local impact.”

This event is generously sponsored by 19 companies including Title Sponsors CNA Insurance and Chubb. For tickets or sponsorship information, please contact Sarah Conway, Executive Director, IICF Southeast Division at: sconway@iicf.com or (214) 228-2910 or visit https://bit.ly/2OYQmMV

The IICF Georgia Chapter is a part of IICF’s Southeast Division, which has granted over $3.2 million to more than 100 nonprofits in the region since its founding in 2012. Last year, following the devasting flooding and natural disasters, insurance industry supporters nationally contributed more than $650,000 to the IICF Disaster Relief Funds to help recovery throughout the Southeast and beyond.
